TestimonialsI recently joined Cazz on her beginner MTB rides around the Yarra Trails. She was very helpful and showed me lots of new skills. It is lovely to be shown skills by knowledgeable bike rider. I recently went on a road ride and was very impressed. The ride was very organised and professional. There were different options for different levels. Cazz was constantly checking on all the riders to make sure we were still in the group. I would recommend joining Cazz on any of her rides.
Sarah, Feb 2016 Cazz has been training me for the last several months and has been very attentive to my training needs. Because of her program my confidence on the bike, riding on the road and in groups has grown enormously. I'm fitter and stronger on the bike than I've ever been! I highly recommend Cazz as a coach. Thank you so much Cazz!
Katarina, Sept 2015 I've recently started coaching and fitness plan with Cazz. I've been riding for years including rides of 100+ Kms and climbs of 1500+ vertical meters but I've never approached my riding or fitness with any plan or discipline.
I'm very impressed with Cazz - she is thorough, enthusiastic, responsive, knowledgeable and engaging. With her guidance I've now got a purposeful, well balanced plan and a coach / skills/ fitness trainer all in one. I didn't finish the Alpine Classic last time but I'm confident Cazz will have me much better prepared for my next attempt in January 2015. Peter, Oct 2014 Cazz has been so supportive, encouraging me to ride more, giving me confidence to tackle hill challenges and other things that I found daunting, even offering to write up a training plan for me. She has shared all sorts of useful tips and answers to random questions I've had along the way. I really like Cazz's gentle and humorous-but-informed approach and I've met some other great people through her rides. I love the range of Bike it Better rides and was excited that after a chat about the 1:20, Cazz scheduled a Humevale Hill ride, having done the research that this was a similar gradient challenge but a more pleasant, quieter road ride. My next challenge is mountain biking and I feel very comfortable that Cazz will push me and support me in equal measure, which is exactly what I need!
Nyunkia, Mar 2014 I just want to say a big thankyou to Cazz . I am a person who had never ridden a bike before, and always wanted to learn. I wrote an email to the Bike It Better website. It was promptly responded to and a lesson was set up. Cazz made me feel very relaxed and even allowed me to use her bike. So after one lesson I am now on my way. I got a bike and am riding around. The follow up email Cazz wrote was fantastic and had a great deal of good riding tips. So if anyone needs help in learning, or advancing themselves I can personally recommend Cazz.
Brian, Feb 2014 I hadn't ridden a bike since I was 12 years old after an accident on the road but when I decided to purchase a new bike for fun, my LBS The Ride Cycles suggested I contact Cazz for Breeze rides to learn to ride in a group and suggested some bike lessons.
I've had 6 hours of lessons with Cazz and she has been exceptionally professional and customises the lessons based on what I wanted to learn. I've since learned basic riding techniques, road rules, what to look for when purchasing a new bike, and where to ride. This has given me the confidence to be able to go back on the road as an adult! There's still a lot to learn however she has provided me with the information I needed to have a go and make cycling fun again. Thanks Cazz! Vanessa, Feb 2014 I have been on 3 rides with Cazz over the last few months. We have been on different routes each time and the best thing is I've had lots of fun!
Cazz has very kindly, on 2 occasions, still gone ahead with the ride even though I have been the only person to attend. Cazz has also been able to give me some good tips and advice - she has a very gentle manner - and slowly I am building more confidence. Cazz also went out of her way on our last ride to give me some helpful advice about upgrading my bike and acted like an advocate for me when she took me to her bike shop. I intend to do some individual coaching sessions with Cazz as soon as I get my new bike. Hopefully as soon as possible! Jane, Feb 2014 I've learned to ride a bike as kid and I've had a bike ever since but most have spent a lot of time in the shed. Last year I tried a road bike for the first time and loved the feeling of so much more speed for the effort - but it also spent a lot of time in the shed because I'm nervous about traffic, tram tracks, and generally falling over with my feet clipped in.
Cazz designed a training program (at a very reasonable cost) for me to build strength and confidence - and it worked, I ended up enjoying my 14 day bicycle holiday in Myanmar immensely. I try to ride with Cazz as often as possible - I'm aiming for 4 times per month - because she gives me really valuable tips each ride. I've found all her rides really social which suits me well. I like how she paces them - I feel challenged but not exhausted or struggling to keep up. Barbara, Feb 2014 It was such a stroke of good luck I found a bike coach in the Kew East area. My previous coach was in Brunswick and I had to travel there.
Cazz is a decently priced coach and very professional. She is steady and reassuring and she listened to the issues I had with bike riding. My issue was I was scared of raising the bike too high as I was scared I could not land on my feet if I tipped over. So she started me off with a lower seat and gradually raised it when I was ready. I was so happy when she started me off just rolling my feet along the ground for balance with my son's bike. That got me progressing quickly so I saw instant results. By the third lesson, we had moved onto a bigger bike. Now I can go practice by myself with the reassurance I can call her anytime just for a lesson when I need. If you need a soft spoken, steady coach who takes you one step at a time, go for Cazz. Stephanie, Feb 2014 |
