Bike Fit and Setup Assessment
Having a poorly-fitted bike can not only cost you efficiency and speed, it can also ultimately lead to pain and injury!
You may have had your bike fitted to you, or at least sized appropriately, when it was first purchased. But how detailed was that fit, and has your riding style / experience / frequency changed since then? It's a great idea to get a professional fit done either when you get a new bike, when your riding habits change, or when you are experiencing unnecessary pain or injury during or after a ride. Getting a professional bike fit will ensure you're getting the most out of your machine, while preventing future issues and injuries.
Cazz learnt the principles of bike fitting and setup through the Cycling Australia Level 1 Road & Track Coaching Accreditation which is paired with her extensive musculoskeletal knowledge and experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist. Combine this with her many years as a cyclist and coach as well as working as a remedial therapist with top athletes at the Victorian Institute of Sport, and you can be assured that Cazz knows exactly what to look for when assessing your bio-mechanics and function, and setting up your bike.
Your issues may be caused by an incorrect bike setup which is easily remedied with a few tweaks and adjustments, however it maybe also be due to bio-mechanical deficiencies or deviations which may be addressed by some stretch and strengthening exercises, or recommendation for remedial massage or physiotherapy treatment.
Rather than simply measuring you up and fitting the bike to your current physical state including limitations in flexibility and strength - Cazz will look at the long term big picture and aim to get you and your body functioning in an optimal way, and setting up your bike to work towards that goal as well.
Investment: $140+GST for 1 bike (allow 2 hours), $70+GST for each extra bike (allow up to 1 hour).
Bike fit session includes physical flexibility and strength assessment, and both static and dynamic on-bike assessment.
Location: Cazz's home studio in Preston.

Testimonials
"I had the pleasure recently of having a 'bike fit' by Cazz from Bike It Better. Wow what an experience. Cazz is very calm and professional and she demonstrated great biomechanical competence. I was very happy with the fit."

"Cazz takes a more holistic approach to bike fit. Cazz was thorough in measuring me up and checking for any deviations in my body, before making a number of adjustments to my bike to provide a 'tailor fit' to my dimensions. Even better, Cazz showed me a number of exercises and stretches that will improve areas of weakness identified. I'm now riding more comfortably and with more power than ever before."
Adam, Cannondale road bike, Dec 2017
"Thanks again for your help yesterday with the bike fit. I really liked the way you stepped through everything methodically, and explained everything along the way. I felt really comfortable asking you basic questions about how the body works too, I learned so much! Thank you!
The new saddle height and position worked really well, no glute strain; my left knee complained a little bit but not much - I'll replace the saddle soon. I put on the new stem and it feels good - still very responsive, I lowered it by 2 spacers (1cm) and it felt better - more neutral on my hands - less pressure on my wrists."
